We know that our galaxy `Milky Way` and our next door neighbour `Andromeda` while being driven away – in expansion – by dark energy, are also approaching each other and very much proceeding on course towards collision. It may not happen very soon. Perhaps that event may be about four billion years away. So there is no immediate danger. Besides the interstellar space between star systems is so vast that many star systems from each galaxy may just pass through without colliding. For example, the nearest star to our Sun is about four light years away, and our solar system may be about a couple of light hours in diameter. So the interstellar space around us is perhaps about ten million times bigger than our solar system. And if it is the same – more or less – for a certain star system called `Stun` (say) in the Andromeda galaxy which is the system most likely to be the one closest to us while passing, then it is possible for us to pass each other without colliding.
So far so good.
But there will be no such good luck for our parent Black holes. They are proceeding headlong towards collision pulling at each other. To us, it looks like Andromeda coming towards us, but to someone on the planet called `Dearth` of the star system `Stun` in Andromeda, it may look like the Milky Way is heading towards them. And they are Supermassive – these black holes – by any yard stick you can think of. The Milky way Black hole is about four million times as massive as Sun, and the Andromeda black hole could be about five million times as massive as Sun ( I haven`t checked this). And when they do collide..it won`t be as moderate a collision as the Jim Reeves ( or Roger Miller) song suggests. You can rest assured it will be Earth shattering…Oh ! What am I saying…it will be Black hole shattering. And the impact will not be without its effect on all the star sytems orbiting the black holes.
And so even if we – from Sun and Stun – pass each other without touching , escaping from danger will not be a cake walk … rather it is certain to be a cake walk going into that danger. We have no idea, how the orbits will be reoriented and what unforeseen forces will act upon us…but we have a fairly good idea that these forces will be catastrophic in magnitude, and it will not be just tension or compression, you can rest assured there will be torsion too.
Indeed we will have to rise to the occasion, and do the necessary calculations on how to escape from the catastrophe. No God of any kind will come to our rescue. We will all have to manage with that `Intelligent Field` travelling with us with all the information contained in the field. For, once the information goes into the black holes it will be lost forever. Maybe in deep future it may come out again as Hawking radiation… but that will be too late.
And four billion years is not so much of a time on cosmic scales, considering the universe ( at least the present aeon of) is just 13.7 billion years old. So if the present age of the universe is considered as twenty four hours, then the forthcoming collision is just about seven hours away.
But the trouble is we the human beings – on whom a great many technological civilizations of our galaxy will perhaps be banking on – arrived just three seconds back and we haven`t stopped fighting each other yet. And the manner in which our population is rising , the manner in which we are accumulating nuclear arsenals, and the manner in which we are fighting to save our egos, is a clear-cut sign that our civilization will collapse within the next three or four centuries, which on the above scale works out to just a fraction of a second.
And what happens when we self destruct our civilization… simple .. we all seven billion ..or so.. `Minds` or `souls` whatever, find ourselves stranded in interstellar space with no idea where to go or where to find another suitable environment to come alive again. And in case if we have to wait for the Dinosaurs to come and go, it may be a long wait as we never know when – if ever – a huge asteroid will strike again.
So if we are to hope for living long enough to first colonize the galaxy, and then living as long as the next four billion years, and hope to save ourselves and our galactic friends from that fateful collision, we need to first create probabilities on our planet Earth to survive from the immediate danger of `Self Destruction`.
And to do just that, a formula …. …. is given in my book : `SIX WORDS ….Seminar held in a parallel universe`
